26 years of service

Lake City Assembly of God began as a vision of the Church Planting and Development Board of the Alabama Assemblies of God. We have a strong commitment to Missions and outreach in our community. Our meetings began in June of 1981 in the Guntersville Town Hall and continued there during construction on Spring Creek Drive. On Easter Sunday of 1982, we had our first service in the new sanctuary.
Since that time, God has blessed us tremendously. In 1989, we built an educational building and gym. WJIA, a ministry of the church went on the air in August 1995. It broadcasts Contemporary Christian music and various programs. In 2005 we finished our third addition to the church building, giving us much needed classroom and office space. Our attendance has grown and we praise God for what He has done and continues to do in the lives of His people.

It's our desire that Lake City Assembly of God, through the various ministries of this church, be an asset to this community. It is our prayer that we are always a body of believers that reaches out in love and proclaims the gospel of Jesus to a hurting world.
